My favorite animes and an analysis of why I like them so much

For many reasons this is my favorite theme, for that reason i cant choose just one theme.

So I'll talk a about my favorite animes and why I chose them.

The first one is Code Geass

Code Geass is an anime of psychological thriller, science fiction, drama and in my opinion also speaks of politics and State policy. But why of policy? It’s simple: The story tells how the young Lelouch Vi Britannia and his sister Nunally were banished from the Royal Palace of the Holy Empire of Britannia and were sent to 11 area (Japan was invaded by Britannia) denying their condition of princes and then ignoring their existence. It is in this context that Lelouch seeks to overthrow the Emperor Charles zi Britannia (his father) through the power of his Geass and eventually with the influence and power that will gain.

The actions of Lelouch resemble those of a peon that gets a promotion, little by little manages to become powerful and then to have control of the chessboard. Lelouch is an excellent chess player, he is able to prove this using his knowledge to apply them in real life by watching soldiers as chessmen and dangerous to the Japanese. This shows its manipulative character and cold but at the same time honored, as Machiavelli describes an ideal prince, cruel with his enemies and benevolent with his allies.

My second favorite anime is Monogatari Series

It is not just a comedy anime, it is a very faithful work to develop the story of its characters. All of them face at some point in their lives an emotional crisis which results in them being possessed by a zoomorphic "eccentricity", this would be a kind of yokaii without a physical body that I know manifests with respect to the character of its guest and is the protagonist Araragi Koyomi, a boy turned vampire and stripped of his powers who must fight against these entities that possess the body of the characters when they suffer a moment of emotional instability.

The scenarios, approaches and visual elements are previously exploited to the maximum in this anime, the grace of this often is determined by the integrity with which these elements are presented, it really produces a visual delight as it is perfected in its progressive change of style from season to season

And the last one is JoJo Bizarre Adventure

read this part with the following melody https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUhVCoTsBaM

JoJo's genre spans Action, Adventure, Supernatural, Thriller, Comedy, Tragedy, Mystery, and Horror. is popularly known for stands (spiritual manifestations of the power of the characters) and the references to popular music like the name the most popular villain of the franchise Dio Brando ( Dio comes from Ronny James Dio the popular rockstar and Brando from Marlon Brando)

or the Stand of Higashikata Josuke ( protagonist of the fourth part of the serie "Diamond Is Unbreakable") named Crazy Diamond, like the popular song of Pink Floyd "Shine on your crazy diamond"

Another of the characteristic elements of the series are the famous poses or "Jojoposes". These have appeared since the first chapters of the bizarre adventures of the Joestar family and have been maintained until the most recent.

A JoJo pose, however, is almost never constructed as an intimidatory thing. Characters don’t move to induce fear in others or assert themselves as dominant — when they do, it’s a villain. Their posturing is weird or creepy, accompanied by the katakana for ‘menacing’. The author of this series is fascinated by fashion and Renaissance art, which is why he decided to capture the poses of some models in his work.

A JoJo pose, then, doesn’t instrumentalise masculinity as a weapon, despite all the musculature going around. The masc body is disarmed, contrasting conventional cinematic choreography.

The author plays with the appearance of the characters and manages to obtain incredible nuances with regard to the aesthetics and the clothes they wear. Hirohiko Araki the author of Jojo even works for Gucci and that is reflected in the diversity of wonderful outfits that appear in the series playing with the androgyny of the characters which gives an incredible visual effect.

List of Jojo's series
  • Part 1: Phantom Blood.

  • Part 2: Battle Tendency.

  • Part 3: Stardust Crusaders.

  • Part 4: Diamond Is Unbreakable.

  • Part 5: Vento Aureo.

  • Part 6: Stone Ocean.

  • Part 7: Steel Ball Run.

  • Part 8: JoJolion.

Because of the many parts that Jojo Bizarre Adventure has and all the time it takes from the first manga that came out in the 80's the series is often referenced in other mangas and animes, whether it may be a sudden change in style, characters doing one of signature poses, or other kinds of shoutouts.

Without a doubt, Jojo is one of my favorite series and I think everyone should see her to understand the infinite number of elements that Araki manages to combine in this work of art. I think it is also a series that manages to deconstruct the idea of heroes and villains and making the plots more dynamic and exciting. I hope you liked my review.
